What is the Sustainability Excellence Seal?

The Sustainability Excellence Seal is a certification that Efebé awards once a renovation, architecture or interior design project has been completed. It validates that the designed space meets the strictest sustainability criteria at every stage, from concept to execution.

Through this certification, our clients not only gain recognition for their commitment, but also a guarantee that their project reduces environmental impact, fosters social inclusion, and promotes economically viable and responsible solutions.

How does it work?

To ensure its rigour, the Seal assesses the project’s degree of sustainability in two phases:

• Design phase: This considers aspects such as material selection, layout optimization, maximizing natural resources (light, ventilation) and minimizing waste.
• Execution phase: This assesses elements such as waste management, material reuse, transport, and the techniques used during construction or renovation works.

Once the project is completed, it is classified into three levels according to its degree of compliance with sustainable criteria:

• Type A: Excellent compliance (91%-100%).
• Type B: High compliance with areas for improvement (76%-90%).
• Type C: Basic compliance with several areas to optimize (60%-75%).

  Maximizing the use of natural resources, minimizing environmental impact and facilitating recycling.
• Construction:
  Promoting sustainable construction practices, minimizing demolition, reusing materials and collaborating with social organizations.
• Materials:
  Prioritizing materials with low environmental impact, recycled products and local suppliers with sustainability certifications.
• Acoustics:
  Reducing reverberation and sound transmission to improve the acoustic quality of spaces.
• Thermal performance:
  Increasing buildings’ thermal efficiency through insulation and solar protection.
• Installations:
  Selecting installations that use renewable energy and manage resources efficiently to minimize energy consumption.
• Furnishings:
  Encouraging furniture reuse and the circular economy, using products with environmental certifications.
